Compensation and benefits

UCB offers a generous salary and benefits scheme to attract and retain employees of the highest calibre, and ensure that employees are motivated to contribute to the success of the company. Our policy is to recognize and reward high performance while ensuring fairness and consistency.


Employees receive a competitive basic salary (reviewed annually) and an individual bonus which rewards achievement of personal objectives (and corporate objectives for eligible employees). In addition, our Recognition Programme rewards outstanding or exceptional individual and team achievements made throughout the year.

UCB employees can share in the company’s long-term success through the granting of stock options to eligible employees and the opportunity for all employees to become share-holders through our UK Share Incentive Plan. This gives a matching share for every five bought.


UCB provides a number of core benefits, supplemented by a Flexible Benefits scheme which enables employees to tailor their benefits to suit individual circumstances.

  • Pension

All permanent employees are entitled to join the Group Personal Pension Plan. The company makes a generous contribution on top of employee contributions.

  • Healthcare

All employees are offered comprehensive healthcare insurance. This core benefit can be extended to include dependents through the Flexible Benefits scheme.

  • Life and disability insurance

This core benefit provided by the company can be adapted through the Flexible Benefits scheme.

  • Other Flexible Benefits

include life assurance to support dependents, dental insurance, health screens and critical illness cover. Discount retail vouchers, travel insurance and a Cycle to Work scheme are also available.

  • Car or car allowance
