Collaborative and Joint Working
At UCB we believe that partnerships with the National Health Service (NHS) can improve patient outcomes, reduce health inequalities and lead to more efficient use of resources. This is why we seek to collaborate with colleagues across the NHS in areas where we know we can make a difference, to help support better care for all.
We do this in two ways, both defined by the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) Code of Practice:
- Collaborative working
- Joint working
You can find details of all our collaborative and joint working initiatives below.
Collaborative working
Involves partnering with organisations to implement initiatives that enhance patient care, benefit patients, or support the NHS while maintaining patient care at minimum.
Joint working
Is a type of collaborative working between pharmaceutical companies and the NHS, and is always centred on patients.
Details of any payments or other transfers of value related to our partnerships with the NHS can be found on the Disclosure of Payments page.
